While it's not mandatory the client's final bill is available in order to finalize their Scratch Plan, it’s generally advisable to wait until that time—or until after the client’s visit—before finalizing the loan. This helps ensure the loan amount accurately reflects the services provided.

That said, the plan can still be finalized in advance for the full approved amount or any smaller amount, if preferred. This would place a credit on the client’s account within your PIMS to be used toward upcoming treatment. If any portion of the loan ends up not being needed, a refund can be processed—as long as it’s done within the 30-day expiration period. Consult with your client before proceeding with this option.
